TAP – Transportes Aéreos Portugueses or TAP Air Portugal is the flag carrier airline of Portugal. Based in Lisbon, TAP Portugal is a member of Star Alliance since the year 2005 and has been operating an average 2,500 flights a week to 90 destinations in 34 countries worldwide. The airline owns a fleet of nearly 100 aircraft, all of which are manufactured and supplied by Airbus with the exception of 22 aircraft manufactured by Embraer and ATR, and operating on behalf of the regional airline TAP Express. Talking for the flights from U.S., TAP Portugal presently flies non-stop daily flights to Lisbon and Porto to 45 destinations in Europe and 13 in Africa.

I was really scared to book tickets on 247Traveltechinc as I haven’t heard of this website from any one! I spoke to Ted and he was very polite and courteous. All my fears were gone as I got my flight tickets in the email while on call only. The fares were non-refundable though and it’s very understandable.

Classes Options for TAP Portugal Airlines
When making reservation for a flight on TAP-Portugal Airlines, there are two distinct class options from which to choose. The aircraft seating is divided into a
two-class cabin, you've the business class (branded as tap executive) and economy classes (tap plus, tap classic, tap basic and tap discount).
Food and Drinks
The Executive class menus in TAP have onboard the Portuguese products, flavors and traditions in order to strengthen TAP's image as a promoter of national products.
The airlines plan to offer dinner and breakfast on all long-haul flights from its North American gateways to Lisbon and Porto.
In-flight Entertainment

The current loyalty program of TAP-Portugal is known as Miles & Go. If you're a member of Miles & Go, it will award you miles based on the distance travelled, ticket fare and class of service. As a member of Star Alliance, passengers can earn miles from travelling with airlines part of Star Alliance and other eligible partners.
The passengers in this class are allowed to take one piece of standard baggage along with 1 personal accessory and weight should not exceed 8 kg. In the Business Class – Short or Medium Haul you can take one piece of standard baggage along with 1 personal accessory and weight should not exceed 10kg. In the Business Plus – Long Haul you can take two piece of standard baggage along with 1 personal accessory and weight should not exceed 14kg. Passengers can request for extra baggage allowance at the time of making reservations with TAP Air Portugal.
The maximum weight and size of check-in baggage in TAP-Portugal must not exceed 32 kg and 158 centimetre. The passengers while traveling in TAP-Portugal are suggested to check their check-in baggage allowance through the baggage calculator before going ahead with the packing. Passengers can request for extra baggage allowance at the time of making reservations with TAP Airlines.
